[Ssshh! It's a secret 🤗]| A 5 Minutes read that will change your business for the NEXT 50 Years.

I am going to talk about somethings i learnt in my journey. Most of them from my experience, some from other successful people. In all, i practice some and still practicing them but, i believe in them all and they can also make your business a success if you practice them.

Starting a business is not easy. It is not. Don't push yourself over to the edge trying to make it look easy and at the end, play the victim of 'I am not good enough'

No! Don't do that.

You are good enough but you're not asking the right question that will bring out the best in you and your business.

'What is the identity of my business?'

The market is saturated with high quality products and services from successful brands, and each is known with an identity.

Coca Cola is known for sharing the good feeling. Apple company is known for smart end gadgets. Facebook is known for connecting with friends and family. Instagram is known for sharing the moment through pictures and videos. Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry are known for high fashion wears. And the list goes on and on...

So, what is your business known for?

It's not enough to be motivated, have great ideas and innovative mindset. You need to be creative in an exciting way that will make your business ride on a journey to success and not just seeking after what will come into your pocket.

"IT IS WHEN YOU BUILD SOMETHING OF VALUE THAT YOU CAN KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN IT GROWTH"

And that is the most difficult (building value) aspect of business evolution for start-ups and entrepreneurs due to high saturation in their niche or industry.

What do you do in a crowded niche?

1. Identify what you want your business to be known for: is it solving a particular problem (yes, but in what unique way). Or is it selling of physical/digital products or providing a service (okay, what off-work help can you offer your customers freely that they can't get it anywhere).

Example: Apple company delivered on what no what else could, products that actually solved what consumers need to do, before the consumer even knew that they wanted to do it. And they did this 1977 when there was nothing like personal computer available in store anywhere.

Likewise with the iPhone series, it provided apps and tools which a consumer need for day to day activities all in one mobile that is simple and light to carry.

This made them to be known for INNOVATION

and you know why?

As their slogan says, "Think differently"

When you define the identity of your business you easily connect with the right audiences.

Without defining your business identity, you will easily fall into the trap of copying others, doing what they do without getting the desired result. And then feel frustrated, depressed and at the edge of hitting the...

...Delete button (giving up on your business).

And you keep trying new things all over again without having good results.

You may wonder Why, but here is what you might not be doing...

2 ...Observation and Research: Infact, i can't do enough justice to show how important it is to be an observant entrepreneur and a good researcher.

Observation and good research are key traits you need to have as an entrepreneur or business owner. When you observe, it push you to think and ask 'why' certain things happen, 'what' is working for others, and 'how' can i model it to work for my business.

However, don't copy what others are doing instead model what works for them in your own unique way.

Most importantly, start from customer's feedback. It is always a great place to observe the behavior of consumers, their needs and what solution are they looking for in a product.

But, do you know something funny?

Customers often express their needs by describing a solution.

This brought about the famous saying

"Provide a solution to people's problems and you will be stinky rich"

By the way, i just came up with that quote 😂😂.

But i am right anyways. If you want to make it in your niche, then provide solution to people's problems.

And the easiest way to come up with a solution is to study the hidden needs expressed by customers when describing a solution

"Customers often express their needs by describing a solution."

This means you should learn to observe the emotional triggering word in their feedbacks or expression. This will help you come up with better ideas for your products and service.

P.S- Getting things right can be a little rough for the start but, you only have one thing to do; observe and make research, and model what works in your own unique way.

Uhf! That's a lot of con-tent-ment. So what do you say buddy. Let's get it starting right away.
