This brings us down to the question 'What path really lead to success?'
Dear friend, welcome to... The Art of Never Giving Up: How to Build Resilience and Achieve Success
The Art of Never Giving Up
Giving up is a lot easier especially when you don't really have what it takes to succeed... consistency, persistence, smartness, meticulous and resilience. And, the consequences are of a great predicament - failure and frustration.
The good news...
The art of never giving up isn't just your usual speech about; never give up on your dreams, you have to fail before you can taste success, successful people don't quit and you know... the bla bla bla stuff you hear people say.
It (art of never giving up) is a skill you need to master because of how easily distracted you can be with so much noise out there on the internet. People will say nasty things about your bold step, feedback that stings about your dreams, and no one may believe in you.
Then, how do you intend to keep going when your emotion is already override by those hurtful words?
Listen to this then...
The now revolutionary Apple started off with two men in a garage. Years later we all know it as a $2 billion company with over 4000 employees.
Yet, almost unbelievably, Steve Jobs was fired from the very company he began.
The dismissal made him realize that his passion for his work exceeded the disappointment of failure. Further ventures such as NeXT and Pixar eventually led Jobs back to the CEO position at Apple. Jobs said in 2005:
“I didn’t see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from Apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me.”
In essence, the point here is that, not giving up means your passion should exced whatever disappointment you will face. Step back and observe from from another angle what went wrong, what are you not doing right and what other ways can you improve yourself and increase your chances of succeeding.
This is what not giving up means.
PAUSE- HERE IS A JOKE:
ON RESILIENCE: learning the strategies for growth and development, and understanding how to overturn challenges to your advantage.
“Many, many resilient people learn to carefully accept what they can’t change about a situation and then ask themselves what they can actually change,” Dr. Southwick said. Conversely, banging your head against the wall and fretting endlessly about not being able to change things has the opposite effect, lessening your ability to cope.
Dr. Southwick has done many studies with former prisoners of war and has found that although they suffered profoundly, many eventually found new areas of growth and meaning in their lives.
In summary, try to narrow down your thoughts, focus on the opportunity available and understand that you can't change the past. So, leave in the present and figure out what went wrong with your plans and try one more time, this time, with a more sophisticated plan.
The moment you bounce back from all setbacks, you are destined for greatness.
This is what resilience means (the summary).
ON ACHIEVING SUCCESS
Now that you have understood what it means not to give up and what resilience means, do you think that's enough to succeed with your goals?
Success is simply fulfilment. Well, that's after i realized there is no specific definition for success.
Don't judge me yet. Here is a proof 👇
Excerpted from: If Success Is a Game, These are the Rules,And written by: Cherie Carter-Scott, Ph.D.
RULE I:
Each Person Has Their Own Definition of Success
There is no universal definition of “success.” Everyone has their individual vision of what it means to be fulfilled.
When you achieve a desired goal, you become fulfilled and happy. That is success. But, how can you measure success in terms of career?
Here is what you should know.
1. You can't measure success. Actually, you can only see result which equates to the effort you put in. That is, the more effort you put in to your work, the greater your chance of achieving success beyond your expectations.
2. Don't get stuck on "I don't know how". Instead, go out and find someone who does. In the end, it's all about knowing the "who" not the "how". Rusell Brunson
3. Be creative. When you add creativity to your work, you become a genius.
Conclusion
You don't have to try so hard to pretend that you are alright, let out your tears, scream if necessary, take a break and figure out where it all went wrong.
On resillience; learn, unlearn and relearn. The only way you can bounce back is to learn from your mistakes and dissapointment. Have a good plan before you step out.
Success is as good to say an abstract, like the truth or justice. You attain it or achieve it through process and been factual about your intentions.
Having you read to the end is worth more than million dollars to me. There's greatness in you, you just need patience, hardwork and consistency. And you will be fine.
See you at the top buddy.
