And when you can't control it, it gives room to depression and anxiety, making you feel overwhelmed and stressed out.

In a recent chat by health writer Peter Jaret with Daniela Kaufer, an associate professor UC Barkeley who studied the biology of stress. She says:
"The prevailing idea in our culture is that stress is bad. People complain about being stressed out. But we’re learning that moderate amounts of stress have powerful benefits. The stress response is designed to help us react when something potentially threatening happens, to help us deal with it and learn from it. Our research shows that moderate, short-lived stress can improve alertness and performance and boost performance."
Feeling better now? Good. Now, lets discuss hiw to help you manage your stress to enable you think effectively.
So, how do you manage your stress to the bearest minimum and think effectively without feeling over whelmed?
Here is the answer:
1. Test every thought: Thoughts are not independent and they are not neutral. When it creeps into your head, you have the ability to shut them down by analyzing it. Whether it worth your peace, happiness, growth and development.
Here is what you should know, thoughts are just like written words, if you don't write they won't appear. Like wise, when you focus too much on something, you begin to develop thought about it. Therefore, always test your thoughts by analyzing it importance to you.
2. Have positive mindset: If you want to get the best out of every challenge and disappointment, then always sit back and analyze each step you have taken. This will help you build a positive and optimistic mindset. The more positive you are, the better you become when making decisions.
3. Imagine great thought: Just like having a positive mindset, you also need to imagine great thought. Great thoughts are; thinking of how to become better at what you do, having a paradigm shift about situations. The benefits of doing so is you begin to see more and clear opportunities to expore.
4. Nourish your mind: To enable you think effectively, you need to nourish your mind with information. Reading of valuable contents and networking with great minds will nourish your mind with quality ideas. Infact, when you read or consume a quality content that resonates with your goals, you are one step ahead of an average person who doesn't read.
5. Keep learning: one of the fundamental variant of success is learning. Learning improves your thinking ability, it nourish your mind with ideas, and exposes your vision to new dimensions.
"when you read or consume a quality content that resonates with your goals, you are one step ahead of an average person who doesn't read."
When you learn, you earn. And for you to earn you need to think effectively. This brings us back to 'you need to keep learning to improve your thinking ability.'
It is impossible to avoid negative thinking and so, the best possible way to solve this is to have it (negative thoughts) involuntarily. Pay attention to it at the rate that best work for you, develop a mindset that stabilize your thoughts and the environment around you. So that it is actually less threatening.
